In the light of Jesus, we learn to shine
The School and Eco councils consist of representative groups of students who have been elected by their peers to represent their views and raise issues with the Senior Managers and Governors of the school.
The School Council is overseen by Mrs Thompson.
The Eco Council is overseen by Mrs Clement and Mrs Hills.
Our Eco Council works closely with Elmsett Eco Group to help our local environment, more information from this group can be found at https://elmsettecogroup.wordpress.com
The councils meet fortnightly and the children have a chance to express their thoughts, views and ideas about the environment and our school.
If you have any interesting school or eco related ideas please tell your class representative.

You can be involved by recycling your crisp packets, batteries, empty medicine blister packets, ink cartridges and pre-loved school uniform in the collection points in the School Foyer.
There are also collection points for Glass, Books, Paper and Clothes at our recycling centre next to the school office.
The Eco and School council worked brilliantly designing posters, delivering a school assembly on the importance of cutting your carbon, organising and running a pre loved sale in our school hall. These sales are now held half-termly.
In June, two speakers volunteering for WaterAid visited our school to talk about WaterAid and their lifesaving work. Their passion for WaterAid shined through, inspiring both staff and children.

In March, we took part in the Great Big School Clean. We gave an assembly to explain the importance of everyone coming together to make a huge difference. In the afternoon, we split into two groups, collecting over the six bags of litter we pledged.
