Annie Hookway - Chair of Governors
I moved to Suffolk in 1984 returning to East Anglian roots. I have been working in education since 1979 with many happy years in South Suffolk as a primary school teacher and leader. I am passionate about providing new and exiting opportunities for children, drawing upon the diversity that Suffolk offers, whether through technology, the arts or sport.
I am now retired but keen to continue to support teachers and children at Elmsett Primary School.
My interests are diverse from sailing to painting and even knitting. My husband and I enjoy time with family, our sons and grandchildren have provided opportunities for travel to see them. We also have a lively spaniel Tilly
I have no pecuniary interests and am not related to any staff member
Hannah McCann - Co-opted Governor
Having worked in education for over twenty years, including leadership roles as a headteacher across a range of primary settings, I would like to use my experience to help support the children and community of Elmsett Primary School.
I bring a broad understanding of school improvement, finance, safeguarding, curriculum innovation, inclusion, and leadership development, gained through working with diverse schools and trusts. My passion lies in ensuring that every child achieves their academic potential and leaves primary school confident, happy, and well-prepared for the next stage of their education.
Since recently relocating to Suffolk, I am excited to invest in a local school and help foster an environment where children flourish. In my own time, I spend time with my family, take long walks with my two labrador's and enjoy coastal rowing.
I have no pecuniary interests and am not related to anyone at the school.

Reverend Geoffrey Clement - Foundation Governor
I have been a vicar in Suffolk since 2001, having returned to Suffolk after 5 years in Oxfordshire. I am originally from Streatham S. London. When I left school, I worked in construction working on restoration projects in London, principally at Westminster Abbey but on other government projects too. I then spent 11 years living in Uruguay, S. America where I studied at seminary and was ordained priest in Montevideo.
When I can, I enjoy getting out on my bike – currently a Moto Guzzi V9 (850cc). I’ve had motorbikes since I was 19 and a few years back took my Advanced test with the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
I have no pecuniary interests and my wife Angela currently works at the school as a Teaching Assistant in Robins Class.
